Is Royce Reed Leaving Basketball Wives?

Is Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh the next target of VH1’s Bitter Basketball Wives? Maybe.

Royce Reed, the mother of Dwight Howard’s son, is possibly being replaced by Allison Mathis, the ex-girlfriend of Chris Bosh according to online reports.

As previously blogged, Basketball Wives executive producer Shaunie O’Neal hinted to the Los Angeles Times recently that the show and Royce Reed were moving in different directions.

“Season 1 we establish [Royce] as Dwight Howard’sex-girlfriend and mother of his son. Season 2, she’s now dating again, or dating other people that she seems to be pretty serious with,” O’Neal told the Times in a phone interview. “And she can’t talk about her son, she can’t talk about Dwight, and it’s no connection any more, and the legal part of it has almost gotten more strict.”

The key word with Basketball Wives seems to be “former” or “ex.” It is absolutely dumbfounding that Basketball Wives is expected to film a third season with little to no relevant content to its title.

Well, don't believe everything you hear or read...Royce would be crazy to leave on her own. Without Basketball wives, she would go back to her obsure life. By continuning on the show the little spoiled, no talent, trouble-maker would help her to from falling in the "Abyss".

Finally, if she didn't have a baby by Dwight Howard and if he wasn't an NBA superstar, who would care? Be honest no one!!!

First of all Royce has her own money, and yes she and Dwight does have a son. If you look behind the scenes, there had been rumored that Shaunies new beau Mr. Marlon had the hots for Royce, and there was tension behind the scenes in reference to this that wasn't aired on national television. Royce isn't hurting by a long shot, and neither does she need Basketball Wives money to make it. Royce is a very bright young lady, with a promising future. Just because she's not on the show crying her eyes out over whose done her wrong, doesn't mean she's week. Ignorance is bliss! Royce knows that she has more to gain out of life than these hurting women, that feel that they have to come on national television and air their dirty laundry, embarassesing themselves, and our black culture, by acting a fool. I don't blame Royce for keeping her integrity in tact, and not getting involved in the drama that has no substance at the end of the day. For God sake these women fail to realize they have children. Tami is about the only one that I can really say I understand why she feels the way she does. As for the other three, including Shaunie, they really need to get somewhere and sit down, because looks doesn't mean anything, if your character is showing something other than who you're pretending to be. Evelyn is a nasty, messy, drama filled, bark and no bite slutttttty ass whore, that really needs to examine herself. She's pretty, but her ways make her character look so ugly, and she wonders why she has men problems. Jennifer, is sweet, but really needs to stop being a damned puppet trying to fit in with these women. Her marriage could have been salvaged, but she chose her friends and the spotlight over resolving issues with her spouse. Eric made it clear, it was either him or her friends. Goodluck with that one. More power to you Eric. Never be in a place you're not wanted. If these dummies would take advice from the two wives on the show married to the retired NBA players they could really learn something, especially about character. Money isn't everything, and it damned sure doesn't buy happiness.
